مصر تعتبر مستشار السفارة الإثيوبية بالقاهرة شخصًا غير مرغوب فيه وتمهله 48 ساعة لمغادرة البلاد
ردًّا على استفسار بشأن ما أقدمت عليه الحكومة الإثيوبية بإعلان أحد أعضاء السفارة المصرية في أديس أبابا شخصًا غير مرغوب فيه، وصف مصدر مسئول في تصريح خاص لـ “فيتو” هذا الإجراء بالأمر “المؤسف” وغير المبرر.

موضحًا أن الجانب المصري طالما أكد على رفضه التام التدخل في الشئون الداخلية للدول وعدم التعليق على أحداث في دول أخرى ومن بينها إثيوبيا احترامًا لقواعد القانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة.

وأضاف المصدر، أن الجانب الإثيوبي دأب على تعليق فشله في إدارة ملفاته وأزماته الداخلية المتلاحقة على شماعة ما يدعيه بوجود دور لأطراف خارجية للتغطية على أزماته المتتالية.
واختتم بالقول إنه تطبيقًا لمبدأ المعاملة بالمثل، فقد تم اعتبار مستشار السفارة الإثيوبية في القاهرة شخصًا غير مرغوب فيه، وأمهلته السلطات المصرية 48 ساعة لمغادرة البلاد.
In response to an inquiry regarding the Ethiopian government’s decision to declare a member of the Egyptian Embassy in Addis Ababa persona non grata, an official source described the measure as “regrettable” and unjustified. The source noted that Egypt has consistently reaffirmed its categorical rejection of interference in the internal affairs of states and has refrained from commenting on developments in other countries, including Ethiopia, out of respect for the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
The source added that the Ethiopian side has repeatedly sought to attribute its failure to manage its successive domestic challenges and crises to alleged external interference, in an attempt to deflect attention from its recurring internal difficulties.
The source concluded that, in application of the principle of reciprocity, the Counsellor at the Ethiopian Embassy in Cairo has been declared persona non grata and was given 48 hours by the Egyptian authorities to leave the country
